A word from the President
Warm greetings and happy new year 2026 from Digital Bridge for Development Association (DBD), a newly established non-governmental organization based in Yaoundé, Cameroon, dedicated to bridging the digital divide and empowering communities through technology, education, and innovation.
Our mission is to create a digitally inclusive society where every individual, regardless of location or background, can access the opportunities of the digital age. To achieve this, we will launch initiatives such as:
• Community ICT Centers providing free Internet access and digital training for youth, women, and entrepreneurs;
• Rural Connectivity Projects to extend broadband Internet to underserved areas;
• Digital skills and E-commerce training to promote employment and self-reliance; and
• Digital Inclusion Campaigns encouraging the responsible and productive use of online technologies.
However, as a young and growing organization, we are currently in need of financial and material assistance to establish and equip our first ICT Community Center and sustain our ongoing community programs.
We are therefore in great need of your support; either through financial contribution, computer equipment, Internet connectivity resources, or capacity-building partnerships.
Your contribution will directly help us:
• Connect schools and youth centers to reliable Internet;
• Provide ICT and entrepreneurship training to women and unemployed youth;
• Foster innovation, research, and job creation within rural communities.
Together, we can build digital bridges that transform lives and promote sustainable development in Cameroon and beyond. Thank you.
